Nintendo DS was also formerly given the codename Nitro to depict the system. The upper screen of the console serves as the main screen while the lower screen is the touch screen. This game console also has a microphone which is built in.

After a while, Nintendo made another version of the Nintendo DS which was named Nintendo DS Lite. This was a redesign of the console and was released in Japan and later in United States and Europe on the year 2006. Nintendo DS Lite was known because of its lightness and slimness. Also, its screens are brighter than the first one. This is one of the reasons why the Nintendo DS was called ‘original style Nintendo DS in some countries.’ Moreover, because of the popularity and convenience of Nintendo DS, it was privileged in the Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards in the year 2008. This was also because it is one of the pioneers in handheld game consoles. Furthermore, according to Nintendo, there are more challenging and fun games on the new game console.

Nintendo DS has many features. One of the features that make the Nintendo remarkable is the Wi-Fi Connecting.
